Euro Sentinel is a powerful application of new PC agent technology that unobtrusively allows a central administrator to monitor and detect files or activity taking place on end-user PCs. By installing Euro Sentinel across a network to all end user, desktop PCs an administrator can quickly and accurately gauge the Euro compatibility of any end user machine and take appropriate actions to correct issues arising. The Euro Sentinel agent is fully customisable and can be used to identify information such as the presence of Euro fonts or application packages and the settings for any MS Windows options such as the keyboard, or the decimal point locator. Having poled an end-user PC Euro Sentinel can then be used to deploy additional software updates or change PC settings based on the information returned. Sentinel consists of a single MS Windows based "Agent" technology application.

  • Sentinel Installation
    Installation is possible via:
    - Network login scripts from a shared Network Server Directory.
    - Deployment of installation files via Email attachment or download from Inter/Intra net.
    - Direct installation via CD-ROM, or diskette.

  • Selection/Configuration
    - Windows Control Panel settings
    - Default Keyboard Language
    - Regional Settings
    - Number settings ("Decimal" Symbol, "Thousands" symbol, No of digits after decimal, -ve symbol, etc)
    - Currency settings (currency symbol, position of currency symbol, "decimal" symbol, "Thousands" Symbol etc)
    - Existence of Euro updates to installed Operating System(s)
    - Existence of Euro updates and/or "add-ins" to installed applications software.
    - Existence of updated Windows Euro fonts (.fon and .ttf files).
    - The storing or updating of any specific (or all) data file types on the local PC Client or Server Disk Drive,
    - The user entry via keyboard of specific data entries into any or all software applications,
    - The user entry via keyboard of data matching one or more specified data formats.

  • Logging and recording of detected information
    - Sentinel will record and store detected information to log files held both locally at the client PC and also on the Network Fileserver.
    - The local and Server based log files will be automatically resynchronised following any period in which the client PC is temporarily disconnected from the LAN.
    - Sentinel will automatically transmit the information detected and gathered from each PC client to the EuroFind Manager project file specified, and provides updates in real-time and at specified intervals.
    - Each PC client will be uniquely represented within the EuroFind Manager project file, from which the gathered information may be viewed and printed.

  • Update of PC Client systems
    - Sentinel may be configured to install and/or apply the following to each PC Client as defined via EuroFind Manager:
    - Euro updates to Operating systems.
    - Changes to Windows Control Panel settings.
    - Euro software add-ins.
    - Euro fonts.
    - Updates to EuroFind-Pro Currency Table Manager files.
