EuroFind Pro is a powerful data scanning and conversion solution that is specifically tailored to identify and work with currency related data in the desktop / client server environment. The software provides user definable scanning criteria, enabling efficient scanning of most common desktop spreadsheet and database packages. By scoping the analysis criteria users are able to search for specific currency types and in many cases identify the source currency format. Having identified currency related data, EuroFind Pro provides powerful "in-sheet" conversion to the Euro or to other currencies via the Euro using correct rounding and triangulation methods.

EuroFind-Pro may be used to search for, and examine the contents of a wide range of spreadsheet and database files types to identify currency and finance-related entries. The tool may be used to scan the local hard disk drives of networked, standalone and mobile personal computers, as well as network file server volumes and those datafile types for which an ODBC (Open DataBase Connectivity) driver is available, such as those found on minicomputers and mainframes. EuroFind-Pro may be used to scan and analyse data files to such levels of detail as

Cell reference/worksheet/spreadsheet filename/pathname (in the case of Spreadsheets
Fieldname/table/database filename/pathname (in the case of Databases) EuroFind-Pro can also identify standard and non-standard financial functions within macros, formulae and Vba modules associated with Microsoft Excel™, Access™ and Lotus 1-2-3™, as well as Access™ input masks and output formats.

The results of the data scanning exercise are written to a text-based output file, which may be viewed and reported upon within the tool. The data scanning results file may also be imported into the Euro-Manager tool in order to manage, track, consolidate and report on the results of data scans performed on all of the PCs within a project. Through the tight, seamless integration of the Sopra EuroConverter technology, EuroFind-Pro enables the detection and conversion of currency values within data files to be performed by a user within a single operation if required. EuroFind-Pro consists of a single MS Windows based application that scans PCs or PC servers on an individual basis and includes the following additional elements.

Desktop Data File Scanning
- Scans data files from the majority of standard PC databases and spreadsheets data types in use today.
- Scans individually selected files, specified directories or an entire local hard disk and or mapped network drives.
ODBC Data Scanning
- Scans mid-range server based data sources via an ODBC connection. (see Specifications for file list and driver requirements)
Definable Search Criteria
- Definition of scan / currency requirements through multiple configuration screens and options accessible by running "Wizard" mode.
- Predefined and user defined currency data definitions and search options. - User defined scoping options allow "high level" or "in-depth" scanning.
- Optional formula, macro and VBA scanning, enabling the analysis of the propagation of currency data throughout Spreadsheet data files.
Templates
- Creation and distribution of EuroFind-Pro scanning templates provides consistent and automated scanning of multiple PCs.
- EuroFind-Pro templates provide pre-defined search and scope criteria and are created and saved from within EuroFind-Pro. Templates can then be loaded automatically through command line scripts.
Results Analysis
- Graphical display of the summary results from the EuroFind-Pro scan.
- On-screen display of the EuroFind-Pro scan results identifying data files containing currency-related data as per the specified search criteria. Information detected and displayed includes:

File and pathname.
File "last modified" date and size.
Spreadsheet worksheet name cell reference.
Database table &/or field name.
Presence of ISO Codes, currency symbols and data values formats of "IN" and "Out" countries, numeric values with/without decimals.
"Derived" values within Spreadsheets cells as a result of formulae and functions.
Standard and custom financial formulae/functions within Spreadsheets.
Standard and custom financial functions within Excel/Access VBA.
Microsoft Access currency input masks and output formats with respect to forms, modules and reports.
Ability to select and view results of search in identified database and Spreadsheet files in a generic browser or through automatic launching of MS Excel or Lotus 1-2-3 with cell highlighting.

Reporting
- Direct creation of detailed scan reports from within EuroFind-Pro.
- Export of scanning results to EuroFind Manager or other analysis packages.
Currency Conversion Table Manager
- Held locally at each client PC and tracks most main base currency exchange rates for accurate and uniform conversion across an enterprise.
- All exchange rates updated regularly via a simple Internet update site and deployed to each client PC through the use of Euro Manager and Sentinel technologies.
- Client PCs connected via a LAN may view (but not change) the exchange rates via EuroFind-Pro advanced screen toolbar. Users of non-networked PC clients may view and change the rates if they wish.
Currency Conversion Options
- Held locally at each client PC and stores settings to be used for rounding methods, intermediate number of decimal places, discrepancy handling, etc when performing currency conversions.
- Enterprise Currency Conversion options are set via Euro Manager, with revised settings deployed to each client PCs via the Sentinel technology.
- Client PCs connected via a LAN may view (but not change) these settings via EuroFind-Pro advanced screen toolbar. Users of non-networked PC clients may view and change the settings of they wish.
Single-step conversion of data
- Enables currency value conversion to be performed directly from the results screen of EuroFind-Pro upon completion of a scan of data files. - Automatically detects the nationality of the source currency to be converted.
- Enables target currency of conversion to be ANY single currency type defined within the Currency Table Manager, or a mixture of these.
- Spreadsheet cells to be converted selectable by column or row.
- Provides warnings against conversion of "derived" values.
- Automatically launches the Spreadsheet program, creating duplicate worksheet within the data file into which converted currency values and formats are written.
- Converted values automatically formatted into the target currency type, including Euro format (if add-in installed).
